I’m a learning DIYer, decided to fix my 2017 - can’t even find a serial number, Minn Kota Ulterra that has had to be push-assisted for a semi-auto, pain in the butt deploy since new.
So you know how it is when you start a project like this - one thing leads to another etc.
so a new deploy motor meant I replaced:
Power Board
Steering Motor
Belt - twice
Trim Motor
GPS Top Controller
Bunch of other bits and pieces
Basically a new unit by component 🤭
….then I wired one wire (ok 2) wires in reverse and after hours trying to figure out the short that created a communication issue, sent everything back to JASON @ Northland Marine in a rush.
The folks at Northridge Marine were patient, courteous, and extreme knowledgeable - they even knew what thingie-bots and doolie-wilkes were.
Solid Gents.
So they found my short in a one day turn around on a Monday no less! Northland Marine helped me get right back on the water and perhaps most importantly, they promised not to tell the wife. 🤓
You gotta try these guys out!
Service is great and the Team knows their stuff in all things for the fun on boats - electronics to trolling motors. The hard to figure but gotta have right away stuff.
