Minn Kota Freshwater PowerDrive BT iPilot Upgrade Kit

Fits the following freshwater Minn Kota trolling motor models:

  • Minn Kota PowerDrive GPS models from 2024 - Present

FEATURES:

  • i-Pilot® GPS Trolling System: The most-trusted GPS system in fishing. i-Pilot® uses GPS to control your trolling motor with incredible features that keep you on the fish. Set Spot-Locks, record paths, control speed and steering, and more. i-Pilot makes boat positioning and control automatic, and you can take command from its easy-to-read large LCD screen.
  • Spot-Lock: Just press a button, and Spot-Lock will hold you in place with unparalleled GPS accuracy. Available on i-Pilot GPS systems, Spot-Lock gives you the power to stay right on top of any productive fishing spot automatically, without touching your trolling motor. Spot-Lock with jog can be accomplished by adding a heading sensor (sold separately, 1866680). You can use Jog to move your Spot-Lock location five feet in any direction. Activate Spot-Lock from the i-Pilot remote.
  • AutoPilot™: Automatically navigate your boat in any direction you choose. Just point the head of your trolling motor in the direction you want to travel, activate AutoPilot™, and your trolling motor will keep you on that heading automatically, even correcting for wind, waves and current.
  • Mobile App Compatibility: Control i-Pilot directly from your Apple® or Android™ device with our mobile app. You get quick command of speed, steering, Spot-Lock and Advanced AutoPilot — plus the ability to update i-Pilot software.

So Happy

I am from Canada and even with money exchange and duty at the border, I paid $891. I am so happy with this purchase. I was ready to spend about $3000 on a Terrova next year. When i found out I could convert my rarely used 2 year old Powerguide to I pilot I was so excited. Thank you so much Northland Marine . Hoping to get out this week to try it on the water!!! 10 Stars!!!

Excellent Upgrade

This is my second upgrade kit I have ordered from Northland Marine. The first upgrade kit was for a Minn-Kota Terrova which works flawlessly. This upgrade kit was for a V2-Powerdrive with the first generation I-Pilot. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was some confusion on the wiring at the base of the motor. Instructions were for the handling of 4 wires coming from the circuit board. As it turned out my Power drive did have 4 wires of which 2 of the wires were power wires with the other 2 being the control head wires. I am assuming that other V2-Power Drive models do have the 4 wires protruding from the circuit board as described in the instructions which would not have included the power wires. YouTube university videos also did not address my dilemma. Once I figured out the wiring the testing of the new configuration worked. Looking forward to testing the new version on the water and having a much tighter spot lock radius. I highly recommend Northland Marine for Minn-Kota servicing and questions.

I-PILOT UPGRADE KIT

I've had my Minn kota power drive for about 4 years couldn't afford the tanova. Found out 3 weeks ago that I could get the upgrade kit with the i-pilot best $500 I ever spent. 2K to 3K if you bought the whole thing with the trolling motor new. It does everything as advertised and it took me about 20 minutes to install just make sure you give them your serial number so they get you the right one..👍

Is the upgrade for me?

I was leary of upgrading because of the cost and if it what be useful to the way I fish. After 6 hours using the ipilot upgrade, I have to admit it was a great decision to do it.
