Harder to install than I thought

The screws that were part of the gas shock assembly had locktite on them. Required an impact driver to loosen them. After screws were removed the the disassembly was reasonable. The bottom part of the assembly had to be attached first then the top part could be attached, if you put the motor approximately 1/3 down the top of the cylinder could be attached. Very good experience with Northlands Marine parts department.

More Power

The original cylinder is this #2288404. After speaking with NM, I went with #2288405 which is more powerful and fits perfectly. mj (I wish MK or NM had a video on the replacement, for some this could be a challenge)

Gas spring cylinder and shock assy for ultrex

Old cylinder was weak, new one is better, could use a better designed support , Minn Kota, still requires more effort than I care for

It was an upgrade to my 80# ultrex after putting the m360 on. It does gives better assist than the stock shock but would like an even higher rated psi shock if I could find one.
